I bought this app because it said it could open the file type I needed it to. Paid the $4 and found it could not open the files I need it to. I feel totally ripped off and I would like my money back. This was a complete waste of time fpr me!

the drag file feature is what i like about this app. its easy and convenient to use. especially that i always have to send high resolution files to clients - graphics in tiff and png files. i recommend this one!

This app is junk, it didnt do anything at all. After 2 hours of decompressing, I just had to click cancel. I would never reccomend this to anyone.

The size of the compressed files was the same as before, whats the point of compressing if the result will be exactly the she size wise. Dont bother to buy it.

I use this to extract all my exe files, works great! So easy UI, I can easily complete in a few steps. I recommend this zipper.

I purchased Smart Zipper for one purpose only. I am a photographer and I email large photo files to clients. I have used another type zip file application with great results. I placed the 6 images I wanted to email in a file. I tried to drag them into the designated box but could not get it to function as expected. I should have done more research before I made this purchase. I will keep trying.

wii randomly just stop working with some files and then later will work just fine

i bought this to compress an mp3 file… what I got was failure with error code 2 but no indication anywhere what that means except that it didnt work...

It works very well in my macbook pro. It deserves every penny.

I guess I didnt read enough but I wanted this to unzip mp3 downloads and it cannot be opened with this program.

This program works quickly and perfectly for me. I needed some advanced options for outputting my archives in 7zip and Gzip formats, and Smart Zipper does it easily. I cant wait to try out the App 2 DMG option, too!

This app is fantastic! I love all the features and clean graphics. Mainly it is just so simple to use and great for transfering all types of files. A+ App!

I used the application for mainly compressing files (pictures) to send over and it worked great in that aspect. Beyond that however the app extends to do so much more. I enjoy the great drag/drop UI that allows for simple decompressing & compressing of folders. Additionally the preferences for a good amount of zip type is appreciated. The options available for encrypting/splitting also is a great plus as some of my work is security sensitive and its nice to have the encrypt feature built in. Overall the UI of the app is dead simple which convinced me into buying it. I personally had no issues compressing works great, decompressing as well. The additional features like App - DMG is also a nice addition if ever needed and I can easily see it being helpful to other users. Definitley worth the purchase when it comes down to it simple, clean, and effective. Great for specific uses and or just basic users who need a great compression/decompression tool. Props to the developer I enjoyed the app and so far have had no issues.

If you need a simple way to compress or decompress files, this is your place to stop. No need for complicated interfaces when you have Smart Zipper available to you. The design is very clean and clear, making everything easy to understand. This is quick, painless and you can even pre-set to which location you want your newly zipped files saved. Encrypt with a password and your files are save from curious eyes. Make sure you message only makes it into the hands of the person who needs it. Don’t forget to check out “Preferences” if you need to tweak something to your liking. If you work with any files that are compatible, this is a “can’t-miss” app for your collection.

I was hoping to use this to compress my huge font collection small enough to fit in my Cloud storage area so I could have access to them wherever I am. As I began using the software, I was very pleased to see 20:1 compression ratios. WOW! Impressive. Then I uncompressed my archives. What I discovered were empty folders that should be full of fonts, files that report zero KB file sizes and generally completely unusable results. In fact, Im very glad I didnt throw out my originals! There were some older collections that I had considered compressing, uploading to the cloud and removing from my hard drive just to get rid of clutter. I would have lost them forever had I not double checked the unbelievable compressions ratios. I hope this software works with non-font files better that it worked for my purposes. Really a shame, becuase in the cloud GBs are expensive and I would love to have a high-performance compression tool for Mac OS that would help me to use my Cloud space as efficiently as possible. Tried to compress (multi-part RAR) to file set. Nothing but progress bar in any compression level from Normal to Ultra. I have a need to be able to make RAR file set. This is NOT the app for you in this case. Apple supplied ZIP (compress) app is far superior even in basic compression. An upgraded version is available, but the differences are not clearly stated. I would like a refund. Other review are mixed (a love/hate relationship). Should have know better. If they gave me a path to exchange to the bigger, better version I will test it too, but will NOT pay twice. Giving it two stars for its GUI which seems nice enough. However it should run and not hang – remove four possible stars due to bad operation which doesnt meet the stated goal of this software.

I quite like this app actually. You can compress files in different formats and at different compression levels.
